Instant Messaging with any contacts added to Office Communicator. Conversations can involve more than two participants with voice and video connections available. These functions may also be accessed directly from some Microsoft applications (e.g. Outlook, SharePoint)
 
With Presence awareness, users can check each other’s availability. A user’s indicated presence is based on his/her calendar („Busy” or „In a meeting”), the usage of his/her computer („In a call” when using voice communication, „Away” when the PC is locked, „Offline” when turned off) and may also be set manually („Available” or „Do not disturb”). Presence is also indicated in some Microsoft applications (e.g. Outlook, SharePoint) 
 
Conferencing with Live Meeting:
 
  • Meeting notes: participants (with appropriate rights) can take shared notes on the meeting screen and save them individually
  • Simple polls can be organized for the participants
  • The conference’s visual and voice content can be recorded and replayed afterwards
  • Presentations may be shared in their original format and may be made available for download as handouts
  • Participants (with appropriate rights) may share their desktops or one of their applications to work together with others
 
All data is transferred through channels secured with the technology same as that of internet banking.
